As you might or might not know Private Function has been running for a fair while now, bringing us the most upfront progressive music once a month. They are also getting quite a reputation for showcasing new talent mainly from the US. Habersham is definitely no exception. Out of Atlanta he is very much well known for his twisted breaks sets.

Parties at Two Floors Up are nearly always up for it. I really enjoy going there, as I know there will always be a diverse group of people wanting a good time. The bottom bar was really feeling it when I walked and I got that familiar feeling that this was going to be a good night.

As I walked up to the top bar Aaron Roach was shaking the dance floor this way and that with his smooth sound and the gathering grew larger as Habersham came to the decks. I always thought that the twisted breaks thing which I am definitely a fan of was more of an acquired taste but quickly I was quickly shown that if it can be mixed well then it is guaranteed to rock any dance floor. At 22 years old it amazes me that someone so talented isn't so much bigger than he is. Slamming bass lines and some excellent mixing was the order of the evening and two hours went by before I realised how infectious Habersham's music is. The atmosphere was great as people seemed to be finding a new style of breaks that is yet to be completely uncovered by the more mainstream breaks fans. It was really one of those head nodding sets where you have to fight your body to stop dancing...brilliant! .

Dean Milson came on to play the closer amidst the screams of appreciation for Habersham and continued to treat the crowd to his usual upfront selection.

In conclusion the Private function crew really came out firing with a great event that featured one of the most talented DJs of the future, keep it up!
