Parisian electrohead Bobmo is making his way down under for We Love Sounds. 3D asks for his top ten defining tracks.

Wavves – So Bored
Months ago, I saw a band called Wavves in Paris. I didn’t know anything about them and the only reason I was there was because of my friend Julien had to interview them. I’ve been astonished by the fact that the frontman plays alone on stage, only backed by a drummer. You should listen to this lo fi-slowcore-garage-pop-music, it’s great.

The Juan Maclean – One Day (Surkin Remix)
My High Powered Boy Surkin did a great job at remixing The Juan Maclean. He injected classic house elements into the original version plus this ’90s UK rave break. I’m lucky, he made me listen to me some previews from his forthcoming debut album. It’s going to be a classic, no joke.

Outlander – The Vamp (Strip Steve Remix)
Classic techno from the early ’90s released on famous record label R&S, revisited by Strip Steve (Boys Noize records), AKA DJ Cedex my “scratchi scratcho DJ” during my short rap carrier. He told me his next 12 Inch was mostly finished. Can’t wait to hear that.

Trinidad – Philly the Blunt
Released in 1991 on Nervous Records this track is just the perfect kind of banger I want to hear more often. It’s produced by one of my favourite producers, Todd Terry, and I found it on corporatebloggin.com, a very good dance music and French hip hop-orientated blog.

Mr Oizo – Flat Beat
Best fidget track ever.

Burzum – Dunkelheit
The Bobmo logo on the cover of 3000% Yes is a rip off of legendary Norwegian black metal band Dark Throne’s. Months ago, I got a email from its frontman Fenriz saying he really likes my music, that he’d been into techno since ’92, and that he even has a Plastikman tattoo! To be honest, I’m no black metal expert, but I truly love that Burzum song.

David Rubato – Circuit (Aeroplane Remix)
Belgian duo Aeroplane remixed Circuit and turned it into a sumptuous Italo disco track. It’s my favourite remix ever on Institubes.

Deerhunter – Nothing Ever Happened

The best band in the world in a tie with the Black Lips (even though there’s no relation). I might have seen them play live four times... they’re always great, I love pretty much all their songs.

Yussuf Jerusalem – Multicolor
It’s not entirely due to the fact their female drummer is a close friend of mine that Yussuf Jerusalem is the best garage rock band in France. They play a pretty clean garage, unlike many of their boring counterparts. It almost sounds pop at times. They did a great cover of Marianne Faithfull’s With You In Mind. All their songs are proper hits in that genre.

Toadally Krossed Out – Toad’s Theme
Best Baltimore track I have heard for a long time.
