Research from New Zealand's University of Auckland into the cleanliness of Australian public toilets has revealed that the getting out door handle is the dirtiest place while the toilet seat is often the least germ laden. The data appeared in an Observer feature on toilets which also revealed that 80% of women "hover" over public toilets rather than sit on the seat, from fear of catvhing germs. (Tokyo Toilet Map)
