Why We Love Good Vibrations

The Canadian event may be a celebration of invasive girly sex toys, but Good Vibrations in Australia is purely about the music.

Last year organizers scored something of a coup when the festival hosted Kayne West (just as the world decided it likes him very much), The Rapture, Cypress Hill, and a 20 piece live wall of sound from Thievery Corporation.

Snoop was the man in 2007, alongside the Beasties and Jurassic 5.

But it was James Brown's 2006 appearance, not long before he stopped singing I Feel Good forever, that showed the depth of talent this event attracts.

An early announcement has declared Sydney dance crooner Sam Sparro the first booking for 2009, off the back of his huge Black and Gold hit earlier this year.

Rumours are already circulating regarding the rest of the line-up, including Santagold, Fatboy Slim and The Beatles, which goes to show you can't believe everything you hear.

But whoever accompanies him on the February tour, you can bet your sombrero it's going to be a shit load more fun than that other thing you were considering and the soundtrack will be farkn awesome.
