This/Is - Playlist Peepshow
Sydney kiddles This/Is take 3D through their list of favourites.
Led Zeppelin – Stairway to Heaven
My number one track choice has to be Led Zeppelin’s Stairway to Heaven. The reason I like this song is because of how ahead of its time it was, not to mention creative and Robert Plant’s vocals are one of a kind. I can listen to the guitar in that song all day non-stop.
Various – BNRVol1
The mixture of music in this album is definitely great and the sort of music I would play. I love the style the Boys Noize artists carry in their music. Always good to dance to and listen to.
Just A Band – Vulgar Display
This song at first was good, but as I heard it more and more it became one of my favourites. It is something I would love to hear at a festival. The melody they created in this track I find very uplifting so it is always good to listen to and to play.
Incubus – S.C.I.E.N.C.E.
I am a big fan of Incubus. This is one of their earlier albums, which is much heavier but still great production. Always good to listen to before a night out.
Royksopp – Junior
I had heard of the name Royksopp and had heard a song or two of theirs, including the Boys Noize remix of Happy Up Here, but that’s as far as my interest went in them until I heard their recent album Junior.
Clipse – Trill
This song gets played a lot in the This Is studio as it is one of the songs we celebrate to. When we get some good news, a gig, a new remix, props from someone in the industry we look up to it. It makes us happy.
Kid N Play – Ain’t Gonna Hurt Nobody
We love playing this track because we are both huge Kid N Play fans, we grew up watching House Party 1, 2 and 3 and still can’t decide which one is the best – they bring back great memories for us and we pay homage to their dopeness on a daily basis.
Just A Band – To Hell With Gravith
If you haven’t copped this track yet you need too. And anything else by Just A Band when I come to think of it. They are hands down some of the best producers at the moment and I can’t think of a track that they have released that has not been amazing.
The Faint – Machine in the Ghost (Djedjotronic Remix)
Have been bumpin’ this one for a while now and can't seem to get sick of it – I really love the drums in this track but it’s that modulated lead that really puts a smile on my face. Every time I play it we get a big smile on our faces – Djedjotronic is on fire.
My Clipse Playlist
After having rap close to my heart from the tender age of 11 and listening to a gang of shit through the years, I can say with confidence that these guys really are the most lyrically gifted motherfuckers I have ever heard, after having label issues over the past four years they are finally going to get their time to shine. If you ain’t already heard, Justice are producing a track on their new album – can’t wait for that one.
