Birmingham house clubs Babooska, Fuel and Toast will be holding a joint New Year's Eve bash at the Escape Club and have negotiated an 8am alcohol licence for the all night party. The promoters behind the event revealed this week that their decision to team up has been influenced by heavy handing policing tactics aimed at clubbers in the city centre.

"This year the police are really clamping down on street drinking and will issue heavy fines to anyone caught walking down the road with alcohol," said Toast promoter Paul Rice.

"They are directly targeting Birmingham City Centre and busy streets like Broad Street this Christmas and New Years Eve. This is why TOAST, Babooshka and Fuel have decided to come together to secure a bigger, better and safer venue, with an all night licence, to give our party an ultimately relaxed and stress free atmosphere."

DJs on the night include Andy Ward, Kiddo Jeff Jefferson Dave Oldershaw and Nik Gillett. Tickets cost £25.
