House veteran producer/ player Craig Dimech, who recorded with Dino Lenny and went on to A&R at Nick Halkes' Incentive label, is setting up his own independent label Free 2 Air, despite the current market downturn affecting large swathes of the mainstream dance industry.

'The current climate is one of doom and gloom and with this in mind I firmly believe the best form of defence is attack," said Dimech on his decision to launch the label.

"Therefore free2air will be nurturing artists and records irrespective of genre and providing the necessary platform to take them to a wider audience. I am incredibly excited about the challenge and feel that along side some great records we have everything in place to make it work."

The label kicks off with the much-tipped crossover track Dino Lenny Vs. The Housemartins 'Change The World' and might just match up his unusually (for now) expectations.
