Detroit anti-corporate campaigners Underground Resistance (UR) issued a fresh 'call to arms' this week, over British bootleggers apparently moving onto their turf.

"Kenny Dixon Junior, a good friend of UR and one of Detroit's most talented, spiritual and humblest producers, is getting blatantly ripped off of two of his very rare records," said Mad Mike (writing on the UR website).

"They are being blatantly bootlegged and this is occurring somewhere in London. We need your assistance in rectifying this situation. Kenny, or none of us can afford to let people rip off our records. We don't sell enough to have (allow) motherfucka's stealing."

The techno warrior called on UR fans and friends to adopt an unspecified 'shock and Awe' programme against the bootleggers and compared the situation to when Sony issued an unauthorised note by note cover of DJ Rolando's Knights of the Jaguar.

Mad Mike's message, however, concluded with a surprisingly ambiguous message that appeared to endorse US authorities' attack on Iraq.

"Peace in good times, War when necessary," it said.
