Voted "Label Of The Year" in 2003 by DJ Magazine , Underwater Records is proud to present the latest edition in its "Underwater Episode" series.
Previous compilations in the series have included mixes from Tim Deluxe, Mutiny, Paul Jackson, Sharam Jey and of course Darren Emerson.
"Undewater Episode 5" sees Darren Emerson team up with Magik Johnson - one of Underwater's most acclaimed up and coming producers. Episode 5 aims to showcase the best of what Underwater has to offer with exclusive tracks from Magik Johnson, Ynau, D Ramirez, Oded Peled, Benny Rodrigues.
Darren Emerson is now one of the most influential figures in dance music - and so he should be, after a career spanning more than 19 years. A man of many monikers, Johnson records on his own as Magik Johnson/Magik J, as Del-5 with Ben Davis, and alongside Soane as Troffman.
His music has been released on such influential imprints as Danny Tenaglia's Twisted label, Layo & Bushwacka's End Recordings, KAOS in Portugal and Paperecordings - and he has completed remixes for Crazy Penis, DJ Sneak, Joey Negro, Q-Burns, Human League, Neon Heights and many others.
Magik Johnson continues to DJ worldwide, having turned heads all over two hemispheres. Darren continues his unrelenting schedule of Dj-ing across the UK and the world - and at some point he sleeps.
