After the crossover success of their recent Body Language (together with M.A.N.D.Y) and Mandarine Girl singles , which seduced crowds from Berlin to Ibiza , & a summer spent touring with the likes of Mylo and Royksopp blowing festival audiences all over Europe away with their live performances, Booka Shade deliver their new album 'Movements'.

Booka Shade have run Get Physical Records since 2002 (with label partners DJ T. and M.A.N.D.Y.). Alongside their own stunning releases, their productions for artists on the label's roster have helped Get Physical become the worlds leading electronic label (winning DJ magazines label of the year award in 2005).

Now for 2006 we have their stunning new album, the sunkissed cinematic masterpiece that is 'Movements'. In marked difference to 2004's debut Memento, 'Movements' shows a lighter side to Booka Shade, inspired by time spent in Spain and Ibiza last summer.Taking in metallic electro, 80s funk, brooding downtempo soundtracks & jazzy sunkissed jams alongside their trademark futuristic electronic rhythms & love of catchy melodies & soaring hooks , it shows Booka Shade as the quintessential modern electronic act.

Album highlights include opener Night Falls, the very limited taster single for the album sees Booka Shade work a trade mark spine-tingling riff over scuffled, hazy beats.

The brilliant In White Rooms, climaxes with an epic hook that's as jaw-droppingly beautiful as anything Booka Shade have released.

At The Window is a cinematic DJ Shadow style masterpiece while Lost High recalls Boards of Canada and Sigur Ros at their epic best.

Pong Pang (a future single) will be unavoidable on the terraces and beyond this summer.

The Detroit electro influences inherent in Booka Shade's work come to the surface on Take A Ride, which journeys to the darkest recesses of Motor City to lay down a starkly foreboding, futuristic soundtrack.

Body Language their massive collaboration with M.A.N.D.Y, has been completely re-recorded for 2006. Movement exclusively contains this new version with unforgettable bass soring over a shuffling broken beat..

Booka Shade also revisit 'Mandarine Girl', giving it an extra dose of spiky percussion which is in tune with the live version of the track. Once again it appears exclusively on the album & the album is stickered to indicate this..

Electronic music is enjoying it's healthiest period in years With artists such as Booka Shade & the Get Physical crew, breaking boundries and pushing the genre forward.

Out 22 May on Get Physical .
